3rd Annual Victorian Primary Health Care Research, Evaluation and Development (VicPHCRED) Conference

We invite you to join us in Melbourne for the 3rd Annual VicPHCRED conference at Monash Conference Centre  on Monday 9 November 2009.

The conference is for anyone with an interest in primary health care research such as academic researchers, policy makers and practitioners. It will offer the opportunity to hear presentations by new and experienced researchers on their projects in the area of primary health care. There will be the chance to network, to generate new ideas and to disseminate knowledge.

Instructions to authors for abstract submission

Abstract guidelines

  1. Abstracts must be submitted electronically as an attachment to an email by submission closing date to anna.chapman@med.monash.edu.au
  2. The abstract must be provided using the abstract submission template (doc, 30kb)
    • Margins of 2.5cm top; 1.5cm bottom; 2.5cm left and 2.5cm right
    • Font – Ariel
    • Font size – 10 point
    • Line spacing – Single spacing
    • Tables and figures will not be accepted
  3. The abstract should be informative but concise and must not be more than 250 words in length. Use the following structure: Background, Aims, Method, Results, Conclusion, Possible Applications or Implications
  4. Please include name and organisations of all authors
  5. Presenting author must also include a brief biography of 30 words and also provide the following information – job title, organisation, address and contact phone/fax numbers.

Cancellations of registration

Delegates who are unable to attend the Conference after submitting a registration fee may nominate a substitute by emailing Anna Chapman on anna.chapman@med.monash.edu.au. Cancellations received on or before 29 October 2009 will be refunded, less an administration fee of AUD$20. Cancellations after 29 October 2009 are not refundable. Exceptions are at the discretion of the organising committee.

Payment of fees

All fees must be paid by the closing date of 29 October 2009.

Privacy

Information necessary for your attendance at the Conference will be gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Legislation. A participant list with name and organisation will be supplied to all Conference attendees. If you do not consent to the Conference providing your name, organisation and State for these purposes, please indicate this on the Privacy box on the registration form.

Special needs

Every effort will be made to ensure people with special needs are catered for. Please note on your registration form under 'Special Requirements' if you require any specific assistance or catering to be made on your behalf.
